Miami Dolphins Great NEWS: Miami Sign OT !!!

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning. Miami signs former New England Patriots offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn to a one-year deal. This is a very solid signing he can be a backup at both tackle positions and that is what we need. He also can compete for the RT and G positions in camp!

Wynn has had injury issues for most of his career. He suffered a torn Achilles and ACL injury and was ruled out for his 2018 rookie year. Then he suffered a toe injury in 2019, and a knee injury in 2020 and was put on I/R season-ending injury to his foot the last 4 weeks last year in 2022. Can it be he was never allowed to fully heal from his rookie injury?

The good news is he is a former first round pick and is just 27 years old and a solid LT, a position Miami needed to invest in because as great as Terron Armstead is he has also been injury prone, and he is 31 years old. So having Wynn sign can solidify that LT spot for the year.

Some think he can compete for the RT spot too but from what I have read of him playing RT in New England he did not fare too well; they also moved him to Guard before he was put on I/R last year.

Still, this is an exceptionally good signing and hopefully he will turn the corner health wise and supply solid play and earn an extension. Remember RT Austin Jackson was not signed to a 5th year option so competition at his position should be fierce!

If he can stay healthy and play to his potential this is a Wynn/Wynn signing (Pun intended) 🙂
