Chase Young To Miami?

One of the big surprises of players’ fifth year option not being picked up is that of Commanders DE Chase Young who was the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Young had a very solid rookie season in 2020 winning Defensive Rookie of the Year with 7.5 sacks while helping his team to the postseason in his rookie season.

Unfortunately, he has been injured since that rookie season in Week 10 of the 2021 season he tore his ACL and appeared in only three games last season in 2022 as he recovered from ACL and MCL tears he sustained in November 2021.

So that is the reason Young’s 5th year option was not picked up and he has plenty of reasons to have a healthy 2023 and get back to his 2020 rookie season success.

I would love to see Miami try and get him before the trade deadline and add him to this roster. Yes, I know it will most likely never happen, but one can dream, can’t they?
