The last two weeks due to debilitating injuries Miami needed to rely on former first round pick Noah Igbinoghene and there are mixed results more positive than negative culminating in the game saving interception vs the Steelers this past Sunday night.
Noah has been labeled a BUST even though he is still one of the youngest players on the roster he is just 22 years old the same age as this year’s Rookies Erik Ezukanma, Channing Tindall, and 2nd year star Jevon Holland they are the youngest players on the Dolphins roster.
Noah was really put in a no-win situation when drafted in the first round by Miami back in 2020 because that also was the year they traded for Byron Jones and how could a rookie get time to play back then when we had both X and Byron on the team and being paid the top salaries at their position?
In fact, Noah was considered a project because of his limited time at the position in college and should have never been a first-round pick. I am still pissed about not drafting Johnathan Taylor from Wisconsin.
Noah needs time on the field and the circumstances Miami finds themselves in are ideal for Noah as all eyes will be on him moving forward! The Steelers targeted him, and he was abused somewhat by the Steelers WR’s but also held his own on some occasions, but the game winning INT was a HUGE deal and hopefully confidence builder for Noah moving forward.
Has he turned the corner? Time will tell but he is in the best situation to make it happen with the help he has from fellow players Xavien Howard and Byron Jones and more importantly from two of the best to play the game for Miami his coaches Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain!
I am rooting for Noah!
What do you think is Noah turning the corner?
He appears to be, but like you said time will tell. Obviously Pat and Sam see something in him that they like.
