Miami’s defense gets even better with the signing of FA LB Trey Flowers. I love this signing just as much as the signing of Melvin Ingram this off season. Both players will be required to fill a role on this defense and not expected to be full time starters.
Both players have had solid careers but have been plagued by injuries over the past two years. That is why this is such a worthwhile addition. They will line up in situations and with their versatility they can be at the DE or LB spot. With Josh Boyer’s knowledge of how to effectively utilize Flowers in his system, this addition can push Miami’s defensive unit to a top tier level. I’m talking top 5-10 defense in the league.
I love this move and can’t wait to see how things work out for Miami’s defense. I expect great things from this group, and I hope Miami’s offense can find its groove early on in the season!
