With the Giants GM saying they are open to ANYTHING in trading for Saquon Barkley per Pro football Talk : “We’re still working through that, but I’m open to everything,” Schoen said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. “Like whether it’s trading player for player; I’ll listen to anybody. If it’s trading a couple players — I’m not going to say the entire roster, [that] we’re open for business on the entire roster. But if anyone is going to call and they’re interested in any of our players. I’m certainly going to listen.”
Miami failed miserably under Brian Flores in addressing the running position, passing up on top RBs in the draft like Jonathan Taylor (my man crush 2020) and Najee Harris (my man crush 2021) because Brian Flores did not value the RB position as many of us do. That is so strange considering his defense was aggressive and if the offense could do a better job of controlling the clock by extending the time of possession Miami would have won a few more games and made the playoffs.
With a new sheriff in town, it sure would be nice to add a top RB to this team to help this offense, I would be on the phone right now striking a deal to bring Barkley to Miami. My only concerns are his injury history, but the rewards far outweigh the risk.
