Amidst reports that Jim Harbaugh has reached out to Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross and said “Come Get Me” one can wonder was that the plan all alone?
Now do not get me wrong Jim Harbaugh is my #1 choice to be the replacement of former HC Brian Flores who we all were surprised to see get fired, but if that brings Jim Harbaugh to Miami than it makes perfect sense that Ross decided to fire Flores.
I suspect games playing out by Stephen Ross who said he would not be the one to take Jim Harbaugh from Michigan but as they use the internet to put Jim’s name out there as interest by other teams and then being able to say he is leaving Michigan so since that was the case than why not bring him to Miami?
I don’t care how he gets here, just get here!
According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Harbaugh’s name is “firmly on the NFL radar.” Prior to Breer, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic heard from league and Michigan sources earlier this week that Harbaugh could be tempted to make a return to the NFL. Harbaugh was also closely linked as a potential coach for the Raiders.
Jim Harbaugh has his name out there as a suiter and Dolphins owner said this about Jim Harbaugh:
“… I love Jim Harbaugh. He had the opportunity once before to come to the Miami Dolphins. But he’s at the University of Michigan. That is my school I graduated from and I’m very involved in it. And I’m not going to be the person to take Jim Harbaugh from the University of Michigan. I hope he stays there. He’s a great coach.”
Now if Jim Harbaugh is dead set on returning to the NFL despite all the rumors that he will go to some other teams do you think Ross will let that happen? Do not be surprised to see Jim Harbaugh’s name pop up soon as a potential hire as Miami’s next head coach and I am very sure it will happen.
