Dolphins draft Jaylen Waddle and offense will be off the chain - The Phinsider

Speed Is the one thing you just cannot teach you either have it or you don’t and if you have it you can increase it but if you don’t have it, you’ll never match the ones who do.

While many were claiming that the Dolphins should have stayed at the #3 spot in the draft and take OT Penei Sewell, TE Kyle Pitts, WR’s Lamar Chase or WR Devonta Smith, I had alluded to the fact that Jaylin Waddle might be the better option due to the speed that he possesses which made him unique compared to the other top WR’s in the draft. (See WR Jaylen Waddle Should Be Our Choice At #6) Some want to paint him as the next Tedd Ginn pick and for that I will say at least Ginn had a very solid NFL career. I also felt that Miami should have held on to him.

Looking at Miami’s roster speed is the one thing that we did not have enough of last year. Yes, we had Jakeem “Rock Hands” Grant who is a better return man than WR he possesses all the speed in the world. Unfortunately, he has dropped some passes last year that would have been touchdowns and would have kept drives alive, he could have also helped the stats and touchdowns of our young QB.

Jaylin Waddle has the speed and the hands that Jakeem Grant lacks. If you have not gotten a chance to look at some video on our new speedy wide receiver then look below, it shows Waddles dynamic speed but also his solid hands.

Waddle could be a game changer and take it to the house on any play, the Dolphins are full of receivers that possess all the other tangibles that you need height, weight, and speed the only issue is all of them have had fragile careers and none of them seem to be a lock to be healthy throughout the season, let’s hope for the best there are some other young WR’s on this roster that has some potential as well. Lynn Bowden Jr., Preston Williams,

It is hard to say what these kids will do but I’m banking on the best of Jaden Waddle because his unique abilities are rare throughout the league and if he lives up to who people are comparing him to Tyreek Hill, with better hands, than the Dolphins and our young quarterback will be in good hands pun intended.
