He has been one of my most frustrating Dolphins player ever, It’s not even close! He has the talent to have been a top WR on the NFL since he was drafted in 2015 but as has often been the case for Parker, he’s been more unavailable than available throughout his career.
Parker’s Career Stats
2020 | Miami Dolphins | 14 | 63 | 793 | 12.6 | 31 | 4 | 45 | 71.43 | 10 | 0 |
2019 | Miami Dolphins | 16 | 72 | 1202 | 16.7 | 51 | 9 | 58 | 80.56 | 21 | 7 |

In his 6 years he has averaged just under 14 games, 49 receptions 702 receiving yards, and just under 4 TD’s a year. There is only one season in his 6 years that Parker lived up to a number 1 billing, that was the 2019 season, when Miami doubled down on Parker.
There has been no greater tease in the league than Parker and even though it will be cost prohibited to move on from him in 2021 Miami needs to prepare for him not being reliable again in 2021, they need to blow up the WR room as there is not one receiver on this roster that qualify as a number 1 WR and Parker’s career stats proves that despite having the talent to be a Number 1 WR he is fool’s gold!
It’s time for the Dolphins to make Parker an afterthought and bring in young talented fast WR’s who can create separation and give Tua a better chance to hit open WR’s rather than risking 50/50 balls that can be intercepted!
As free agency and the draft is quickly approaching it is my hope that Miami bring in a few WR’s through either free agency or the draft (if not both) that can come in and add excitement to the offense that desperately need some fresh new young potential.
2021 Top Free Agent WR’s:
1) Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears (26 years old)
2) Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (25 years old)
3) JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers (24 years old)
4) Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions (age 27 years)
5) Will Fuller, Houston Texans (26 years old)
6) Marvin Jones Jr., Detroit Lions (too old)
7) A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals (too old)
8) T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts (too old)
9) Sammy Watkins, Kansas City Chiefs (age 27 years)
10) Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals (too old)
Top 2021 WR Draft Prospects:
1) DeVonta Smith, Alabama
2) Ja’Marr Chase, LSU
3) Jaylen Waddle, Alabama
4) Rashod Bateman, Minnesota
5) Kadarius Toney, Florida
6) Terrace Marshall Jr. LSU
7) Rondale Moore, Purdue
8) Amon-Ra St. Brown, USC
9) Elijah Moore, Mississippi
10) Nico Collins, Michigan
My preference is for Miami to look totally in the draft for WR’s and double down early and spend any free agency money on whatever defensive player they feel will help put the defense over the top.
Overall Devante Parker has been a bust and Miami afforded him every opportunity to live up to his potential and about every season he’s been a huge disappointment so it’s time to get a true Number 1 WR and add more competition to push Parker out the door.
