The Dolphins have many options to improve this team and one way is to bring as many of Tua’s former college teammates into the fold and with 4 top 50 picks Miami SHOULD do just that!
It’s time to get serious and stop relying or hoping for any skilled player on the offensive side of the ball to be that difference maker, so I am on a mission to do what we can to fix Miami’s Offense and it starts with the 2021 NFL draft that will be held in exactly 68 days from the writing of this post. Miami needs to revamp the entire WR and RB groups on the team and bring in fresh new young athletic players to surround Tua with as they prepare for the 2021 season.
Miami should concentrate on offense solely in this year’s draft and it is time to spend TOP picks on the TOP SKILLED PLAYERS in the draft. I am tired of Miami passing on RB’s in the first round and I do not agree with the idea of passing on a TOP WR with the first pick in the upcoming draft.
With that in mind the Dolphins should come away after this draft with one of the top rated WR’s if not two (Alabama’s Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase, Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle, Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman, LSU’s Terrace Marshall Jr., Purdue’s Rondale Moore, USC’s Amon-Ra St. Brown, Ohio State’s Chris Olave, Oklahoma State’s Tylan Wallace, Wake Forest’s Sage Surratt)
Miami also should target not one but TWO young RB’s in the first 3 rounds and here are the names of some of the top RB’s in the 2021 Draft class (Alabama’s Najee Harris, Clemson’s Travis Etienne, North Carolina’s Javonte Williams, Ohio State’s Trey Sermon, Oklahoma’s Rhamondre Stevenson, Oklahoma State’s Chuba Hubbard, North Carolina’s Michael Carter, Memphis’s Kenneth Gainwell, Buffalo’s Jaret Patterson, Louisiana’s Elijah Mitchell)
The Dolphins should use free agency to find some additions on Defense and on the Offensive line, but the draft should be all about getting young skilled players who can grow with Tua and help this offense improve. I went to my mock draft simulator and specifically targeted two top WR’s and Two RB’s and here were the results:
- 3. DeVonta SmithWR, Alabama
- 18. Najee Harris RB, Alabama
- 35. Javonte Williams RB, North Carolina
- 50. Nico Collins WR, Michigan
- 81. Landon Dickerson IOL, Alabama
- 123. Talanoa Hufanga S, USC
- 203. Chris Rumph II EDGE, Duke
- 208. Joshua Kaindoh EDGE, Florida State
- 252. Chauncey Golston EDGE, Iowa
At the end I decided to take some flyers on DE prospects to add to the mix enjoy.
