While the “Talking Heads” rack their brains about why Dolphins decided to go with Tua Tagovailoa as the starter now, we Dolphins fans are excited! Rightfully so, because we’ve been looking forward to this opportunity for 20+ years since the retirement of Dan Marino, so why wait any longer?
It’s time to unwrap this prize and see if he’s going to live up to our expectations and having the right people in place like the Dolphins have should give all of us the confidence that they won’t ruin Tua’s career, in fact it is highly probable that Tua is going to have success. Why?
Because of head coach Brian Flores, who has proven to be the right person for the job and I have the utmost confidence that he knows what he is doing and with the wise move to bring in veteran OC Chan Gailey to help develop and coach Tua as well as having a veteran QB by his side all signs point to success!
I really don’t know what to expect this Sunday, I’m just hoping for the best. I’ve always stated that I’m not as fanatical of a Tua Tagovailoa fan as many of my fellow Dolphins fans are but I sure hope that they’re right!
I hope that Tua plays up to the potential of becoming what many are calling the next Drew Brees or Russell Wilson. If he can play to any form like those two Hall of Fame QB’s we Dolphins fans will have much to rejoice about!
After such a long drought between Dan Marino and the potential that Tua could be the next franchise quarterback of the Miami Dolphins why shouldn’t we all be excited? And the best thing of all is that Tua Tagovailoa is just 22 years old!
It still might require a little more patience on all of our part to not try to rush Tua’s success or be overly harsh on this young quarterback if he does not meet some of your high expectations. The good thing about Tua is his demeaner he is truly a wise and humble young man but he also is a killer on the field and I expect with the weapons he has at his disposal that he will do just fine.
If all goes well the Dolphins within the next 2-3 years should be seriously knocking on the door to the Super Bowl and possibly out right win the AFC East title, life has a way of coming full circle and even though I am old enough to remember when our Dolphins were serious contenders and even SB winners, many of the young fan base have yet to see that from Miami.
It all starts Sunday as Miami will roll out Tua with the intent on showing not only us Dol-Fans but the entire NFL nation that these Dolphins are serious and are coming for a title in the very near future, so get your popcorn ready!

There is no doubt that Tua has been stellar in practice for weeks, hence the decision to start him. I hope he lights it up, and I won’t be upset if he doesn’t in his first game. IMO he will do fine based on the fact that he is no stranger to a pressure situation. After all, this is a guy who came off the bench as a freshman, down by 2 scores, and won a national championship.
