I am not sure how it happened but the Dolphins hired the Jacksonville Jaguars LB’s coach from their coaching staff and made him Miami’s LB’s coach. I always thought you could not make a lateral move from one team to another. Obviously I am mistaken as they snatched him up. The good news is he has some history with both Philbin and Coyle and like I said in the departure of George Edwards that to me that position under-performed immensely last season and was a huge disappointment and no matter how you slice it if it was a lingering seasonal issue I blame coaching, now if our LB’s fail to improve next season than maybe it is a bad scheme fit more than anything else which I also suspect is somewhat our problem as I feel the players on the defense are better suited for the 3-4 defense than the 4-3. I will have more on this in the near future.
But for now TDS welcomes our new LB’s coach and I am hopeful this will be addition by subtraction!
